Spicy Sesame Noodles
I recently made these to bring to a friends place for an appetizer and they were a definite hit not to mention quick and easy to whip up.
As per usual my spice recommendations are approximate…. I am apparently incapable of keeping track of such things while I’m cooking even though I really, really try to remember for my posts. I am one of those people that cooks by tasting as I go. I’ll be honest. If I’ve fed you it is more likely than not that you have been exposed to my germs via my “taste tests” as I cook. Sorry not sorry.
Be warned. I love spicy and I made these noodles to my taste. AKA my tongue was burning after I ate…. So if spice isn’t your thing
YOU WILL NEED:
1 pkg linguini rice pasta (or pasta of choice)
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp ground ginger
2 C cooked green peas
2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp olive oil (I used the Chili from Evoolution)
2 tbsp harissa spice
3 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
1 C green onions, chopped
salt & pepper to taste/chili flakes to taste
sesame seeds to top with extra green onions
•Cook pasta according to package instructions, drain, drizzle with olive oil and let cool.
•Steam peas, drain and let cool.
•Mix all other ingredients together in a separate bowl (except salt, pepper and chili flakes).Once combined gently fold in peas.
•Using tongs, evenly cover pasta with the sesame sauce.
•Top with more sesame seeds, green onion, salt and pepper and red chilli flakes for extra spice.
